Nicoletta Papamichael

 

Nicoletta Papamichael was born in Larnaca in 1977. She studied Fine Arts at the Florence Academy of Fine Arts, where from she graduated with distinction in 2001. In 2002 she entered in the Complutense University of Madrid, and followed a Masters course titled Theory and Practice of the Contemporary Art.
After that, she was accepted at a PhD programme of the same University . She has successfully finished its first part with her thesis: “Self portrait: the Art to share Intimacy”.
 Terms of Intimacy, Private and Personal as well as their role in the artistic creation, are questions that preoccupy her both in her artistic and theoretical research.
Nicoletta has presented three personal exhibitions iin Cyprus and has presented her work in Florence, Madrid, Barcelona and Berlin, as well as in many group exhibitions in Cyprus.
